The plot

The game picks up a couple of years after the first Just Cause, with Agency operative Rico Rodriguez being dropped into the island nation of Panau, located in the Malay Archipelago in Southeast Asia.

Formerly a US ally, Panau is ruled by Pandak "Baby" Panay who institutes a harsh, oppressive dictatorship and cuts off all ties to the US.

Rico's mission is to oust Panay from office, as well as track down and assassinate Tom Sheldon, whom the Agency fears has gone rogue after disappearing during the regime change

The Graphics

Oh God the graphics *drools :b…..

Even after nearly a year and a half of being released the graphics still make my jaw drop. From Exotic peninsula to Arctic Tundra the place really feels alive with the amount of detail that has been put into everything

This is where the game truly shines if you’re willing to put your own effort into it

You can free-fall from thousands of feet, landing right in enemy bases to blow up their shit and escape by car or bike, drive off a cliff and then jump from the car with your parachute

You can hijack a high-tech fighter pilot and fly it all around the truly impressive map

And how impressive is it? It’s a good 400 square miles, with some base to take over or mission to do around every corner. It doesn’t sound that impressive written down as a number like that so how about some previous game stats to impress you further

Remember how big GTA – San Andreas was? That was only 13 and a half square miles
What about the size of Oblivion? 16 square miles
World of Warcraft? 80 square miles

Best Weapon/Vehicle/Power-Up?

It has to be the grappling hook

It played a bit part in the first game and because of all the fans embracing it the designers decided to make it one of the main parts of the game

You can use it to pull yourself along in your parachute, hookshot yourself to places quickly, grab onto vehicles with it

One of the true delights is attaching one end to something and the other end to something else.
Say if the police are following you, you can either decide to grapple onto their car and fight the police officers while hanging onto a vehicle doing over 80mph.
You could attach the grapple to another car so they wildly spin out
You could attach the grapple to the ground and the other end to the car, ripping out their suspension
Police following you on bike? You can attach one end to one side of the road and on the other side too, creating a tripwire

You can do the same thing to your car as well, wanna pull down a barricade? Attach the wire to it and your car and drive off. Make sure it’s powerful enough to do it though, otherwise you’d go flying

Final Thoughts
As I said above this game CAN be awesome but only if you’re willing to put the time in

The gameplay is what this game is all about as the voice acting is AWFUL.
“My name is Bolo Santosi” will stick with you forever after playing it and the phrase was INSTANTLY made into a meme the moment the Internet heard it
Just watch the first video on this link

The enemy A.I. could also do with a few pointers. When playing the game to ready myself for this review I lost count the number of times an enemy with a rocket launcher decided a nice melee range full force rocket to the face would be a great idea

My Advice?
Download the demo on Xbox or PS3 first and see what you think

  1. Ooohh...you had me at grappling hook...lol

  2. LOL

Added some info bits at the top, you think thats enough info?
