Fishy's Film Reviews - Enchanted
I picked this as my first film because
1. I had seen it recently
2. I LOVE Disney
and 3. Just to show my reviews won't always be sci-fi, comic books or something you haven't heard of
A classic Disney fairytale collides with modern-day New York City in a story about a fairytale princess who is sent to our world by an evil queen. Soon after her arrival, Princess Giselle begins to change her views on life and love after meeting a handsome lawyer. Can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?
What's right with it?
You will really believe that a Disney Princess has been brought into real life due the excellent acting from Amy Adams. She plays clueless but never gets annoying with it
Giselle like other Disney Princesses has the arcane ability to summon animals when bursting into song, but unlike the happy butterflies, birds, squirrels and bunnies you would get in Snow White when she sings whistle while you work, instead we get pigeons, rats and cockroaches. It’s a great moment
Also I’m told that Patrick Dempsey is quite the hunk ;)
What’s wrong with it?
While Amy Adams as Giselle truly shines in a role that could have fallen as flat as her 2d version at the beginning of the film, the same can’t be said of the supporting cast
Although they each do have their moment to shine, especially Susan Sarandon as the evil Queen and Timothy Spall always plays the slimy characters really well
He knows the song too? I've never heard this song before! What the hell is it?
Are you a fan of Disney? It’s pretty much guaranteed that if you do then you will love this film. The film is FULL of easter eggs to previous Disney films, including voice actors, scenes lifted straight from films, the trolls loincloth in the 2d opening part is made up of all previous Disney Princess dresses

It truly is a fun film, whether old or young, boy or girl, Horde or Alliance this will surely leave a smile on your face long after you’ve seen it ^_^
So if you like this first film review and like the film, hell, even if you didn't like it - Tell me why in the comments or on facebook or twitter
